broadway markets.

last saturday mother nature shed some sunlight over london. my flatmate mel and i took advantage of this rarity and wandered east along regents canal to london fields to explore the broadway markets

markets in london are just so great and broadway isn't that big but it has the perfect mix of everything you would want to find in a market: cheese, produce, flowers, ready to eat delights, vintage clothing, juice and much, much more not to mention the performers and the people watching. being next to london fields means it's the perfect place to pick up some food and drink and hang out on the grass for a long sunny afternoon.

after making some purchases and indulging in some satisfying treats we hired boris bikes and made our way back along the canal to the angel

last week love.

last week was a good week all round

catching up with college friends for lunch and wandering the Portobello Road markets with Courtney - I could never get sick of those markets, there is so much to see...

...and a red velvet cupcake from Hummingbird to end the day (Elena)

late night date night ice skating at Somerset House on Sunday night

catching up with my school friend Amanda who was in town for literally less than 24 hours

Amanda introducing me to the Whole Foods Market, I can't wait to go back

herbal tea - it is the goodness, normally I am a green tea with jasmine kind of a girl but at Whole Foods I found this delish organic sweet citrus white tea

prawns! on special at Sainsburys - oh how i have missed them

avocados - 5 for £1 at Portobello Road and they were actually ripe - guacamole!

and this coat in green at ASOS finally went on sale and is now apart of my wardrobe

notting hill & portobello road markets.

last weekend i took a trip to explore Notting Hill and the Portobello Road markets.
after hearing that the little travel bookshop (from the movie) was closing down i was there like lightening, however i never found it...guessing it had already gone.
also high up on my list of London things to do was getting a cupcake from the Hummingbird Bakery (Elena!) which was as delicious as expected.

the markets were full on, lots of people (like everywhere in London) and they went on forever.

borough market

when i think of markets i think of endless fresh, colourful produce and delicious food.

borough market was like a dream come true and we did nothing less than indulge.

banoffee pie, orange & cranberry juice, cherries, olives & feta, duck sandwiches...yum.

this market blows any other kind of market i've ever been to right out of the water, i can't wait to go back for another piece.
