paris: patisserie tour

while in paris i happened upon a journey of a different kind, a patisserie tour through st germain des pres.

jenny is a friend from home living in paris and has turned a favourite pastime into a great weekend outing for others to enjoy. 

st germain was charming to walk through in it's own right but the patisseries and boulangeries were one of a kind, state of the art wonders with treats and creations beyond belief - foie gras and truffle oil macaroons anyone?

this is jenny, or more affectionately, jenequa (her homegirl name, established in turkey)

jenny is a true english rose from a village called sandwich, we spent saturday wandering, chatting and giggling our way around london from portobello road to maida vale to oxford street and beyond. this morning i went to watch her start off on an ultra marathon - yes thats right, an ultra marathon.

50 kilometers of blood, sweat and tears and she totally aced it. i can only dream of running a standard marathon (i can't run to save my life) so completely admire jenny for completing such a physical and mental task, proud friend over here.

turkey on film.

work being hard this past week is an understatement..

holiday.

i'm in turkey this week for a much needed holiday.

it's around 45 degrees in the day but not humid, the ocean is just perfect and i just had a turkish bath...amazing!
